Media Mash Up

Ok so I told myself I would keep this blog on track but I can’t let this dog lay. So sometime in the late 80’s early 90’s a guy emerged named Michael Alig. Michael was from a small town, and like most people from a small town with ambition the first thing they do when they can is leave. So Michael left and headed to the biggest city in the US, New York. He worked as a bus boy before meeting James St. James. James St. James was definitely a partier, he made his appearances in very decadent outfits and was a huge attention fiend. The 2 hit it off quick. At any rate it wasn’t long before the 2 emerged on the club scene. They started off small, but their movement began to pick up momentum. Throwing crazy themed parties and wreaking havoc on everyone around them. They are relatively unfamous compared to Lady GaGa. However recently from what I can tell, as Lady GaGa is picking up steam she is turning more and more into a club kid everyday. When she hit the scene she wasn’t too over the top, however now oh wow.

Ill start with her music videos. Bad romance is like a scene from a club kid party.

Lets take the VMAs. 

It just so happens that Michael Aligs most famous party named “Disco Blood Bath” had the exact same theme as she did on the VMAs. James St. James

Maybe that isn’t enough for you if not hopefully you watched the video above first. Disregard the whole angel mendez murder thing, I don’t think she will murder anyone. If that isn’t enough her album is named Fame Monster, hmmmm sound a little similar to a documentary named Party Monster. But Lady GaGa is famous hmmm Fame Monster. It goes to show you even the best actresses, artists, etc. steal ideas. The club kids and Lady GaGa were and are selling something…themselves. Lady GaGa is wildly famous and success, getting rich off others ideas. Which if you read my blog last week this relates to stealing the best ideas from those who are better than yourself. So don’t be afraid to copy someone elses ideas that fit your own personality it will only make you better.
